The 10.27 Buddhist Persecution Memorial Hall
10.27 Buddhist Persecution Memorial Hall is a symbolic space that commemorates the suffering inflicted on Korean Buddhism and represents a journey toward reflection, reconciliation, and healing. Inspired by the path from life to enlightenment (Hwaeom), it is a cultural facility where memory and narrative spaces are integrated. Serving as a link between a historic temple and the city, the hall restores the temple approach with layered courtyards. After passing a modern Iljumun gate, visitors reach performance and exhibition spaces connected to sunken green areas and various rooms.
